A Perfect Performathon 2019!

Dec 10, 2019

Saturday, December 7 was a perfect day for Performathon 2019! More than 250 Music Conservatory of Westchester students and their families enjoyed the full day of incredible recitals, exciting raffle, delicious donated food, and family-friendly activities. Students performed on a variety of instruments, representing classical, rock, jazz, and musical theatre music styles.

A birthday cake commemorated the Conservatory’s 90th Anniversary and the chair of the school’s Parent Association, Marion Richardson, was recognized for her continued contributions in coordinating food and beverage donations from the community.

It takes a community effort to organize Performathon and ensure a successful outcome. Many thanks for support from parent and student volunteers, local vendors, and food establishments, donors, and sponsors, as well as the Conservatory’s faculty and staff.

The Performathon celebration isn’t over! You can still purchase raffle tickets to win exciting prizes and support the Conservatory’s Scholarship Program and Legacy Project – building new digital technology teaching spaces, including a new Percussion Studio, Digital Piano Lab, Recording Studio, additional Music Therapy Studio, and a multi-use Rehearsal Studio.

Our raffle is open to ALL and this year’s prizes include valuable New York Rangers and New York Knicks tickets (4 each) at Madison Square Garden, as well as high value items donated from P.C. Richard & Son, such as a 55” Samsung LED Ultra HD 4K Smart TV and two Nintendo Switch game consoles. This is P.C. Richard & Son Builders Division’s 4th consecutive year supporting the Conservatory’s Performathon. The raffle drawing will take place on Saturday, December 14th. For more than 15 years, the Music Conservatory of Westchester has held this event as a fun way to get the community involved in raising funds for the nonprofit music school’s mission-specific programs, such as its Scholarship Program, Music Therapy Program for children and adults with disabilities, and Healing Our Heroes music therapy program for U.S. military veterans. Thank you for your support and we wish you a wonderful Holiday!
