Conservatory CLOSED March 9 through March 15

Mar 9, 2020

Due to the ongoing, escalated concern in our community regarding the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Music Conservatory of Westchester is closing the school for March 9 – March 15 as a precautionary measure. At this time, the Conservatory does not have any confirmed cases among any of its students, parents, faculty or staff, and has made this decision out of caution and care for our musical community.

Please note that ALL lessons and classes are cancelled for Monday, March 9, 2020 through Sunday, March 15, 2020. Additionally, recitals on Wednesday, March 11 and Saturday, March 14 are postponed.

During this temporary closure, the Conservatory will be taking additional measures to sanitize our building consistent with the CDC’s guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our families, students, faculty, and staff. We are following protocol from White Plains municipal officials, who are coordinating closely with the County and State.

While the Conservatory is temporarily closed, we encourage our students to continue practicing their instruments at home and we look forward to seeing everyone again very soon. Cancelled lessons due to this closure will qualify for make-ups. Lessons may be given online during this time, via FaceTime or video; your teacher will contact you directly if that is an option.

We will continue communication during the temporary closure. Please check daily for updates via email, MCW website, Facebook (@MusicConservatoryofWestchester), and Instagram (@musicconservatory).

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping keep our Conservatory community healthy and safe.
