Youth Chorus (Grade 1-6)

  • Offers a nurturing, enjoyable ensemble experience open to all instrumental and vocal students.
  • Students explore their vocal capabilities through unison and simple two-part vocal music ranging from folk songs to popular tunes.
  • The chorus performs at the Conservatory and in various community locations.

Sinfonetta (Grade 2-7)

  • Open to students who have completed at least the first half of Suzuki Book 1 or equivalent and have basic reading skills.
  • The group plays ensemble pieces with simple harmonization, based on familiar themes from classical, traditional and popular repertoire.
  • A placement audition is required.

Teen Vocal Ensemble (Grade 7-12)

  • Teen Vocal Ensemble is a challenging and enjoyable opportunity for students to work together as a group, learning to blend their voices and sing in parts.
  • The ensemble sings musical theatre and classical repertoire and is open to voice and instrumental students.
  • A placement assessment is required to determine vocal range.

 Sinfonia (Grade 8-12)

  • For accomplished string students who are familiar with third position and higher, can shift fluidly, and have sight-reading skills and previous ensemble experience.
