Piano Academy in California, and through her own private studio. Her teaching integrates strong
technical foundations, ear training, memorization, music theory, sight-reading, and expressive
musicianship. She has guided students in preparation for recitals, auditions, competitions, and
the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC) Certificate of Merit evaluations.
An active contributor to the music education community, Megan has served as President of the
Sierra Branch of the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC), where she coordinated
student recitals, master classes, and professional development opportunities for fellow music
educators. Her broader musical experience includes work as a pianist, worship coordinator, and
music ministry leader in churches throughout New York, New Jersey, and California
Teaching Philosophy
Megan believes that every student can experience the joy and fulfillment of making music with
thoughtful guidance, encouragement, and support. Drawing on both traditional piano pedagogy
and the Suzuki philosophy, she fosters each student’s technical proficiency, musicianship,
confidence, and artistic self-expression. Her teaching is grounded in the belief that every
student has the potential to grow as a musician and develop a lifelong appreciation for music
