Theory 1-6 (Grades 2-12)
Using the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum, these theory classes provide a thorough understanding of musical structure.
- Students explore and reinforce foundational skills through music analysis, improvisation, ear training, and composition.

AP Theory (Grades 10-12)
This music theory experience covers the material taught in the first year of college theory and prepares students to take the College Board AP Music Theory Exam.
- This is a test prep class and is most effective when taken in conjunction with AP Music Theory in the student’s public school.
- Requirements: completion of Theory through level 6, taking a placement test, or proof of AP Theory registration at your current school required.

Songwriting (Grades 7-12)
Create and experiment with the basic principles of songwriting – melody, harmony, rhythm, improvisation, and lyrics. Instrumentalists and singers learn the powerful combination of melody, rhythm, and lyric in writing original music.
- Teaches the Students develop their individual style by applying various concepts and techniques to their own ideas, through various assignments and guided composition tools.
- Students will create and perform their original compositions based on their personal aesthetic. Some musical experience required.
