"Each kind of music is a world of music. And these worlds live in us" – Clive Robbins
I believe within music lies an inherent connection to ourselves and to the world. When we explore our own relationship with music, we become in touch with our creative self, opening doors for self-discovery, emotional insight, and personal growth. Individuals use the music therapy space in all kinds of ways, engaging in identity-affirming work that meaningfully integrates and celebrates every individual quality of who we are, while unveiling the potential that exists within. Through creative practices rooted in client-led and strengths-based approaches, individuals take ownership in their personal journey, cultivating a wealth of resources and skills that foster individual development and wellbeing. There is an inherent relational component to music therapy as clients and therapists engage together in music making, songwriting, music listening, play, and other expressive art forms. As a music therapist, it is an honor to join an individual on their journey of exploration through music and ultimately an exploration of self-discovery and wellbeing!
