This 1-week intensive is designed for young musicians exploring jazz who are hungry for new and exciting styles of music. Each day students are introduced to concepts of improvisation, work together on classic solo transcriptions, and prepare for the final concert with selected arrangements for large- and small-style ensembles, among other activities. For students playing jazz band instruments (saxophone, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, flute, piano, guitar, bass, drum set).
